Bethlehem, PA: In the 2nd game of a 3 game home stand, the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks will face the visiting Reading Express for the fourth and final time on the season. The Steelhawks need to win out the season in order to keep any shot at the playoffs alive.
The Express (2-9), a familiar Steelhawk foe are coming off a loss in Chicago. Quarterback Tim Bailey (30 tds, 1,568 yds) continues to lead the Express. His favorite targets as of late have been WR Chris Shubert (48 catches, 423 yds, 10 tds) and WR Keith Stokes (47 catches, 485 yds, 8 tds). The Steelhawks defensive backfield - led by DB Marvin Johnson (76 tackles, 4 ints, 1 sack) and DB Calvin Harrison (51 tackles, 4 ints) - will need to contain them.
The Steelhawks (4-7) will be looking for some revenge this week as they are coming off a tough loss to Omaha, and lost to Reading the last time they faced them in Reading. Quarterback's Aubrey Norris and Chris Malleo will look to their main targets in receivers Irani DeAraujo (61 catches, 501 yds, 14 tds), Jeff Willis (44 catches, 519 yds, 11 tds), and Isaac West (13 catches, 168 yds, 7 tds in 4 games).
Kick off will be at 7:05pm this Saturday night. The game will be broadcast on Service Electric TV2 Sports. They will be broadcasting all Steelhawk home games again this season. The Steelhawks continue their home stand next week, June 2nd as the Green Bay Blizzard visit the Valley for the first time in franchise history. This will be the last Steelhawks home game of the 2012 season and will be FAN APPRECIATION NIGHT with many giveaways throughout the evening. The team finishes up the season on the road in Chicago for their final regular season game.
