The Condors acquired F Mark Voakes and D Scott Marchesi from Cincinnati today for future considerations... G J.P. Levasseur was reassigned to Springfield on Sunday. He was with the team on Friday and Saturday in Idaho... G Timo Pielmeier was returned to the Condors on Saturday. He was recalled to the NHL on Mar. 3. F Matt McCue remains on 3-IR, though he is eligible to be activated.
THE MATCHUP:
The Condors and Las Vegas Wranglers open up a five-game series this week with games tonight and Wednesday at Rabobank Arena, while the series shifts to the desert for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Vegas has been gathering speed of late, claiming a point in eight of their last 10 games and climbing to within eight points of Bakersfield in the Pacific Division standings. This 12-game season series has already included seven meetings, in which the Condors have gone 4-2-1-0, although the Wranglers have won the last two games.
CONDORS NOTES:
G Timo Pielmeier returns to the Condors lineup tonight after getting two stints with the Anaheim Ducks since Feb. 25. He did not see NHL action during the recalls... The Condors have been involved in five shutouts in their last 10 games - one shutout against Ontario, and four times they were shutout by their opponent... 30 players have suited up for Bakersfield against Las Vegas this season, but G Timo Pielmeier is the only netminder the Condors have played in the season series... F Andrew Ianiero leads the team with eight points (3g-5a) in seven games head-to-head... RW Erick Lizon has climbed to 3rd in the ECHL with 196 PIM. He has 43 PIM in six games against Vegas... The Condors are tied for 2nd in the ECHL with 11 shorthanded goals this season... G Tyler Sims is 2-0-0 with a 1.60 GAA and a.947 save percentage in three games with the Condors since being picked up off waivers on Feb. 12.
