DES MOINES - The Iowa Barnstormers (2-1) will host the Sioux Falls Storm (2-2) at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines on Saturday, April 16. This will be the second of four matchups between the teams this season.
Sioux Falls will look to avenge a week two loss to the Barnstormers. On March 28, the Barnstormers defeated the Storm in Sioux Falls, 45-31. The Barnstormers scored 38 points in the first half alone, and their offense proved to be too much for the Storm.
Sioux Falls is coming to Des Moines following a 34-24 defeat to the Quad City Steamwheelers (2-2). In that game, the Storm were down just 3 points with 4 minutes left in the game, but a touchdown and defensive stop by the Steamwheelers helped them escape the game with a victory.
Meanwhile, the Iowa Barnstormers are coming off of a bye week. Last week, they defeated the Green Bay Blizzard 36-18. Kicker Gabriel Rui scored three field goals in that game to help lead his team to victory, earning IFL Special Teams Player of the Week honors. He was also three for four on PAT's, scoring a total of 12 points for the Barnstormers in their win.
Sioux Falls will look to even the score against the Barnstormers this season. It's the second of four matchups between the teams in 2022.
