
Game Postponed Due to Field Conditions

Daytona Tortugas News Release
Just when you think you have it all figured out, Mother Nature creeps up on you again and knocks you off your feet. In Daytona this year, that can be taken literally at times.
With that said this evening's game between the Daytona Cubs & Brevard County Manatees has been postponed due to poor field conditions. Had this been yesterday, we would have been good to go, but the new sod that was laid last week took too much rain over night and is too much of a risk to put our players out there.
Our grounds crew is planning on working around the clock tonight and have a great plan in place to assure (barring a rain out) that the field will be playable tomorrow evening.
We again apologize for this inconvenience and as always, tickets to tonight's game are valid for any remaining Daytona Cubs home game.
