Daytona Tortugas News Release
The Daytona Cubs are pleased to announce an opportunity of a life-time for Daytona Cubs fans. Courtesy of our great corporate partner AOL® for Broadband, fans have a chance to win an opportunity to participate in a Pre-Game Picnic at Jackie Robinson Ballpark on Saturday, September 4th. Not just any picnic though! In addition to getting all-you-can-eat hot dogs, hamburgers, BBQ Pork sandwiches, baked beans, potato salad, chips, peanuts and soda for you and a guest, if selected, you will also get to have your picnic with a great baseball celebrity.
Al Oliver, former Pittsburgh Pirate and Major League Baseball player will be in attendance hanging out with picnic winners and signing autographs for all that are selected. Oliver has a career .303 batting average and is a former team mate of Daytona Cubs Hitting Coach Richie Zisk.
In addition to Al Oliver, the AOL® Running Man Mascot and the Daytona Cubs very own mascot, Cubby will be in attendance.

The drawing will take place on Wednesday, September 1st. Winners will be contacted on or about Friday, September 3rd if your entry was selected. Twenty-five entrants will be drawn to participate in the picnic. Retail value of the picnic package is $28 per two tickets.
Let's say you have a friend that can't get to a computer to sign up or you yourself would like to increase your chances of winning. Simply attend any remaining Daytona Cubs home game at Jackie Robinson Ballpark. The great people from AOL for Broadband are always in attendance. Visit them at their booth next to the Daytona Cubs merchandise stand and fill out an entry form. Limit one entry form per person.
If you have been to a Daytona Cubs baseball game in the past, then you know that the pre-game picnics beyond the first base foul line are the place to be. A free picnic for you and a guest, a visit from ex-Major Leaguer Al Oliver, a visit from the AOL Running Man and Cubby, sounds like another great night of fun and excitement at Jackie Robinson Ballpark.
