Tacoma Defiance (0-0-0, 0 points) opens its third campaign in Tacoma on Friday against Reno 1868 FC (0-0-0, 0 points). Kickoff for the match is at 7:00 p.m. PT, with the game being live-streamed on ESPN+, featuring Andrew Harvey and Dave Clark on the call.

Last week, a public Tacoma City Council session was held that featured information on the next phase of the public process surrounding the soccer-specific stadium that is being developed in Central Tacoma. It marked the next step of the stadium project, following last summer's feasibility study that was conducted for a three-part concept to serve the Tacoma and greater Pierce County communities. This project is inclusive of a state-of-the-art soccer-specific stadium, the potential for mixed-use development and a new multi-field sports complex in Tacoma.

Additionally, a Metropolitan Parks Tacoma Board meeting is being held at 6:00 p.m. PT on Monday, March 9 at the Metro Parks Tacoma Headquarters Board Room (4702 S. 19th Street, Tacoma, WA 98405). A subsequent community rally in the parking lot of the Metro Parks Tacoma facility is set to begin that day at 5:00 p.m. PT, with further details set to be announced prior to March 9.
