GAME NOTES: New England Revolution vs. New York Red Bulls

Saturday, August 25, 2007 -- 7:30 p.m. ET

Gillette Stadium (Foxborough, Mass.)

TV: TV38; Radio: WRKO 680 AM

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Revolution returns home to host the rival New York Red Bulls on Saturday, Aug. 25, at Gillette Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m., and TV38 will be televised the game live, while WRKO 680 AM will carry the game live on the radio.

New England (11-5-6, 39 pts.) now leads the Major League Soccer overall standings, and also holds a three-point lead in the Eastern Conference. New York (10-8-3, 33 pts.) sits third in the East, three points behind second-place D.C. and six points back of the Revolution.

This is the second of three meetings between the two teams this season, and the only match at Gillette Stadium. On July 14, the Revs earned a 1-0 victory over the Red Bulls at Giants Stadium behind Andy Dorman's first-half goal. In that game, New England's Steve Ralston set the MLS record for career assists, recording his 115th on Dorman's game-winning goal. The teams will meet for the final time this season on Sept. 22 at Giants Stadium.

The Revolution hold the edge in the all-time series between the two teams, 22-16-6. Since the start of the 2005 season, the Revs are 6-1-2 against the New York area club, and are undefeated in their last six meetings (5-0-1). New England has also posted defensive shutouts in each of the team's last three meetings with New York, and five of the last six matches overall.
