FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Revolution will play the second of two road games this week when the team travels to play the Kansas City Wizards on Sunday, Aug. 19, at Arrowhead Stadium. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. ET (7 p.m. CT) and the game will be televised live on TV38. The WEEI Radio Network will carry the game live on the radio.
New England (10-5-6, 36 pts.) leads a tightly-congested Eastern Conference by six points, while Kansas City (8-6-5, 29 pts.) is in fourth place in the East, just one point out of second place.
The teams last met on Aug. 2 at Gillette Stadium, the Revs earning a 2-0 victory behind goals from Pat Noonan and Adam Cristman. That was Kansas City's last game, a break of 17 days between matches. However, in that same time span, the Revs have played four matches - three MLS games and one U.S. Open Cup contest.
This is the final of three meetings between the two teams this year. So far this season, each team has earned one win at Gillette Stadium. On May 26, Kansas City pulled out a 4-3 victory at Gillette Stadium behind Eddie Johnson's first career hat trick, while the Revs posted the shutout on Aug. 2. Sunday's match is the only meeting this season in Kansas City.
