Toronto FC News Release

As you know Toronto FC (5-10-5) has been dealing with a string of injuries over the past few weeks. These types of setbacks are unfortunate, but also a part of the game and the players and training staff have been hard at work to get everyone back to full fitness as soon as possible.

Here is a quick status report:

OUT:

GK Greg Sutton - Concussion

MF Ronnie O'Brien - Knee

QUESTIONABLE:

F Jeff Cunningham - Abdominal

F Danny Dichio - Hip flexor

MF Cristian Nunez - Quadriceps

F Collin Samuel - Knee

D Marvel Wynne - Hamstring

Although it will be great to get back to full strength, impressive performances from Andrea Lombardo and Adam Braz prove that Chivas USA will be in tough this weekend. TFC will also have the support of their 12th man as the BMO Field faithful will undoubtedly provide a huge lift for the boys.

Toronto FC vs. Chivas USA

August 18, Kickoff at 3:30 PM ET

TV: Rogers Sportsnet Ontario (LIVE)

Chivas USA has not played a league match since July 29, when they lost 3-2 to Kansas City. Saturday's match will mark the return of former TFC man Paulo Nagamura to BMO Field. Nagamura was dealt earlier in the season to Chivas for a draft pick next year. Chivas is led by their attacking players Maykel Galindo (11) and Ante Razov (9). Galindo has found the net seven times for Chivas this season, and Razov is one of the most productive players to ever play in MLS, with 104 career goals. Razov has six goals and five assists on the season.
