The Regina Pats (0-3-0-0) will look for their first win of the season today when they host the Moose Jaw Warriors (0-2-1-0). Puck drop is at 4 p.m. at the Brandt Centre. The Pats are coming off a 8-4 loss to Lethbridge on Friday, while the Warriors hosted Prince Albert and fell 4-3 in overtime. Tonight is the first of eight meetings between the Pats and Warriors in 2018-19. Tonight's game can be heard with Bennett Dunlop Ford Pats Hockey starting at 3:35 p.m. on 620 CKRM 2 via 620ckrm.com, the game will move to the main network at the conclusion of the Rider post-game show.

The Lead Up: Pats downed by Hurricanes Friday
The Regina Pats fell 8-4 at the hands of the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Friday night at the Brandt Centre. Lethbridge scored the game's first three goals before Robbie Holmes tapped in his first of the season on the powerplay and it was 3-1 after 20 minutes. The Hurricanes scored four more to start the second and extended the lead to 7-1. Regina got two back late, the first a shorthanded goal from Sergei Alkhimov, his first in the WHL and then Jake Leschyshyn picked up his first of the year on the powerplay and it was 7-3 after 40 minutes. Dylan Cozens completed his hat-trick for Lethbridge in the third to make it 8-3. Logan Nijhoff got one back late for the Pats on the powerplay, his first, to make it an 8-4 game and that was the final score. The Pats powerplay was three for five and the penalty kill six for nine. Jake Leschyshyn, Sergei Alkhimov, Nick Henry and Aaron Hyman led the offence with two points each, while Max Paddock and Dean McNabb combined to make 34 saves.
Dubinsky makes season debut
Pats forward Cole Dubinsky got into his first game of the season on Friday night against the Lethbridge Hurricanes. The 16-year-old dealt with a lower body injury and missed all of training camp, the preseason and the first two games of the year. The product of Ardrossan, Alberta was drafted in the fourth round of the 2017 WHL Bantam Draft and picked up an assist in his first game of the season on Friday. Dubinsky played five games with the Pats last year, recording two assists.
Powerplay breaks through
The Pats man advantage scored their first three goals of the season on Friday night against Lethbridge. In the first two games of the year, Regina was oh for 10 on the powerplay, but put up three goals on five attempts on Friday night. Jake Leschyshyn, Robbie Holmes and Logan Nijhoff scored the markers and Regina is now three for 15 on the year.
Alkhimov on the board
Pats rookie forward Sergei Alkhimov recorded his first career WHL goal and first assist on Friday against the Hurricanes. The 17-year-old from Moscow, Russia scored shorthanded in the second on a rebound and then assisted on the Pats fourth goal of the night late in the third period. Alkhimov was drafted in the first round of the 2018 CHL Import Draft.
