Medicine Hat, AB - A home-at-home series kicks off in Swift Current Friday night as the Medicine Hat Tigers (33-17-4-2) take on the Swift Current Broncos (30-19-4-2) in a showdown of the top two teams in the Central Division at the Innovation Plex.

As the race for the WHL Playoffs continues to ramp up, the Tigers hold a six point lead atop the Central Division standings heading into the weekend's action against the Broncos. Swift Current currently holds the season series advantage with three wins in the first five meetings in the 2023-2024 season. Medicine Hat did take the most recent match-up with the Broncos with a 5-2 triumph at home on January 16.

The Tigers continue to sit second in the Eastern Conference standings while the Broncos are surging to the top four in the conference after passing Red Deer in a 5-2 win on holiday Monday against Moose Jaw. Medicine Hat has picked up points in five straight while Swift Current is 8-1-1 in their past ten games, while on a four game winning streak.
