STREAK ENDS: A late spark from the Saskatoon Blades burnt out fast as they fell to the Brandon Wheat Kings 4-1 at SaskTel Centre on Friday.

Anaheim Ducks draft pick Egor Sidorov potted the lone goal for the Blades with his 44th of the campaign. In 55 games, the 6-foot sniper has 74 points, second on the team behind only captain Trevor Wong who has 87 (13G, 74A).

It's the first time the Blades lost at home in regulation since Oct. 24th, 2023, and the first time they've lost overall at SaskTel Centre since Dec. 16th, 2023. Saskatoon's 12-game win streak on home ice came to an end, as well as their 11-game win streak. The Blades remain first in the WHL with a 42-10-2-3 record.

NEXT GAME: The Blades look to extend their win streak to 13 games Tuesday at SaskTel Centre when they welcome the Red Deer Rebels.
