Louisville City FC will host Detroit City FC at Lynn Family Stadium for the first time at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, continuing a competitive series against the USL Championship newcomer.

LouCity (20-5-6, 66 points) has twice visited Detroit's Keyworth Stadium in 2022, walking away with victories in a Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Round of 32 match in May and an August regular season game.

The "magic number" for the boys in purple is just four toward earning the Eastern Conference's No. 1 seed and a playoff bye. Should City win Wednesday and Memphis 901 FC lose at any point over its final three games, that would be enough.

Trevor James-coached Detroit City (14-6-12, 54 points) has secured a playoff spot as well. The visitors will be looking for three points toward a move up the table and postseason start at home.

The game will air live locally on My58 TV and ESPN Louisville's 680/105.7. USL Championship games also stream live on ESPN+.
