One Game At A Time
Another strong effort gave Portland a chance in Game 3, but the Blazers' attacking quality shone on the power play in a 3-2 win for the visitors. Now staring down a 3-0 deficit in the series, the Winterhawks know there is no room for error. It's a mountain to climb, but it all starts with just one win.
"I thought that was our best game so far," said forward Jack O'Brien following Game 3. "I thought we stuck with it and gave everything we had, and it was a good battle all the way to the end. Thought it was our best effort so far and hopefully we can build on that."
The Chef is Cookin'
James Stefan's solid start to the postseason continued in Game 3 with two assists, marking his third multi-point performance in his last four games and fourth in eight playoff contests. The 19-year-old factored in on both Portland goals last night, including a patient play to set up Luca Cagnoni's third-period strike.
Stefan leads the team in both goals (7) and points (11) during the 2023 WHL Playoffs, and is sure to be a key figure in the team's comeback effort in the second round.
White Out
The white-out conditions continue! Match the team and wear white tonight!
Need a wardrobe upgrade? Fans can once again enjoy 15% off white merchandise (including replica jerseys!) at the team store inside the VMC.
