Game Day: Gens vs Wolves
March 18, 2018 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Oshawa Generals News Release
Tonight, the Oshawa Generals host the Sudbury Wolves in their last game of the regular season. The Generals will be going for the season series shutout (3-0-0-0 record) and will be looking to wrap up the 2017-18 season on a winning note.
Another season is nearly in the books! After tonight's game, the Generals will close out their 81st OHL season and head into the playoffs for the eighth consecutive year. Following Friday night's action, it became official that the Oshawa Generals will play the Niagara IceDogs in the first round of the 2018 OHL playoffs. Coming into tonight's game, the Gens hold a 35-29-3-0 season record and almost every player reached or achieved a significant milestone this season.
For tonight's matchup with the Wolves, the Gens are searching for their fourth straight victory over their divisional foe. In the previous three meetings, Oshawa outscored Sudbury 19-4 and Keyser earned his third of four shutouts this season in their last meeting. With the playoff matchup set, the Gennies will look to rebound after a tough loss on Friday night and end the season by getting back in the win column.
During the game this evening, the Oshawa Generals will honour the incredible careers of our three OA players Kenny Huether, Hayden McCool and Alex Di Carlo!
The game day sponsor for today's game is CARSTAR! Be sure to visit their table on the concourse to learn more about their services and keep a lookout for the first intermission when we have Carstar swag to give away. CarStar and Jack Studnicka will also be presenting a cheque to Cystic Fibrosis Canada for the fund raised from the Skate in Strides program.
