
Gamblers Drop Matinee against Muskegon

The Green Bay Gamblers (22-32-3-1) fell to the Muskegon Lumberjacks (30-22-3-3) in a 3-2 loss Sunday at the Resch Center.
The Lumberjacks started the game strong, scoring goals in both the first and second period. After goals were called back for both teams with further review, the score was 2-0 heading into the third period. In the third, the Gamblers would fight their way back to a tie with goals from Luke Weilandt (6) and Owen Murray (5). However, a late go-ahead goal from Muskegon would give them the late lead, giving the Gamblers a 3-2 loss.
The Gamblers received one goal each from Luke Weilandt and Owen Murray. Sawyer Scholl (12) assisted on Weilandt's score while John Driscoll (18) and Matt Deboer (16) assisted on Murray's goal. Defensively, goalie Aaron Randazzo had a game time of 58:27, saving 21 of 24 shots, allowing three goals.
Green Bay will play the Dubuque Fighting Saints (36-16-2-3) Friday, April 15, at the Resch Center.
Muskegon will play Team USA (25-26-2-1) in Plymouth, Mich. Friday, April 15, at USA Hockey Arena.
