
Gamblers Blast Team USA into the New Year

In the final game of 2019, the Gamblers took on Team USA for the second time in two days. Green Bay came out on a mission to avenge their 4-3 defeat from the night before.
Team USA would sound the horn first just 7:50 minutes into the first period. However, the Gamblers stayed determined to not face the same fate from the night before. About eight minutes later Tyler Paquette scored his seventh goal of the season to tie the game. A minute later Jake Schmaltz (8) scored to give the Gamblers the lead. Late in the period McKade Webster (7) added another to give the Gamblers a 3-1 lead after the first.
The Gamblers stayed physical in the second period and kept their foot on the gas. Mason Lohrei (5) who also had two assists on the night added another and the Gamblers went into the third up 4-1.
The third period was more of the same for the Gamblers. They found the back of the net three more times, Two of the goals came from Chad Hillebrand to bring his total up to eight goals on the year. Jesse Tucker (15) was the other goal scorer in the third period. After a 4-3 loss last night the Gamblers ran away with this one winning 7-2.
The Gamblers are back on the ice Thursday, January 2nd in Dallas to take on the Chicago Steel. Then on Friday, January 3rd the Gamblers play the Chicago Steel again in the Frosty Cup.
