PASADENA, CA (Friday, May 09, 2003) - Los Angeles Galaxy defender Ricky Lewis was one of 18 players named today by coach Glenn Myernick to represent the USA's under-23 national side in a friendly on May 14 against Mexico in Guadalajara. The match marks the initial stage of preparations for the U.S. before CONCACAF qualifying to the 2004 Olympics begins later this fall.

The former Clemson Tiger will not miss any games with Los Angeles as the players are scheduled to return home before the Galaxy travels to Dallas to meet the Burn at Dragon Stadium on May 17.
