
Galaxy waive four players

CARSON, CA (Thursday, February 01, 2007) - The Los Angeles Galaxy have waived forwards Cornell Glen and Josh Hansen, midfielder Guillermo "Memo" Gonzalez and goalkeeper Josh Saunders, the club announced today.
A member of Trinidad and Tobago's 2006 FIFA World Cup squad, Glen appeared in only four games and scored two goals after being acquired by the Galaxy in April of 2006 from the Colorado Rapids. Gonzalez, who was drafted by the club in the 2003 MLS SuperDraft, participated in 12 games and totaled 243 minutes on the field in his four year run with the club.
Hansen registered two goals in five reserve division games in 2006, as part of the developmental roster. Saunders, who has been on loan the past two seasons to the Portland Timbers of the USL First Division, appeared in one reserve match after being acquired in 2005 as a developmental player.
