
Galaxy To Host First Community Clinic Of 2009

CARSON, Calif. (Tuesday, April 28, 2009) - The LA Galaxy along with its corporate partners: KWKW 1330 AM, AM 570, AT&T, adidas, Bank of America, Farmer John, Herbalife, K1 Speed, La Opinion, Macy's, Marines, Sports Authority and Valero; will be hosting a season-long monthly clinic series to benefit underserved youth in Southern California. On Wednesday, April 29, the Galaxy will host their first Community Clinic Series of 2009 at Lewis Park in Claremont, Calif.
Through the Community Clinic Series, the Galaxy aim to fulfill their commitment to their surrounding community by creating health and recreational activities and programs for underserved children. The clinic series provides participants, ages 8-14, the opportunity to strengthen their soccer skills through drills that test their coordination, speed and ball handling.
In addition to the professional instruction participants receive from Galaxy Clinic coaches, LA Galaxy forward Bryan Jordan will provide on field support at Wednesday's clinic. City Council Member and Mayor Pro Tem Linda Elderkin as well as City Council Member Sam Pedroza will be in attendance.
All clinic participants will receive a gift bag at the conclusion of the event, courtesy of our corporate sponsors.

ACTIVITIES: Kids will participate in interactive soccer skills stations, including an obstacle course to improve fitness, passing and shooting training drills. In addition, the kids will meet Galaxy forward Bryan Jordan.
