TONIGHT'S MATCHUP: The third of eight meetings and the first of four here. ‘Gades are 0-2 against the Bullies despite holding Atlantic City to 46 shots in two games. Kevin Colley and Scott Matzka each have four points vs. Richmond. No ‘Gade has more than one point vs. the Bullies. Richmond was 4-0 vs. the Bullies at home last season. Three of the four games were decided by one goal, two went into overtime. The Bullies are in first place in the Northeast Division with 18 points, one ahead of Reading. The ‘Gades are in a three way tie for fourth in the Northeast with Greensboro and Trenton with 14 points.

LAST ACTION: The ‘Gades won last night 3-2 vs. Trenton here. Richmond fell behind 2-0 in the first period, but rallied to grab the lead with three second period goals. David Brosseau scored on a power play to get the ‘Gades on the board. Nick Lent scored to tie the game. Dan Vandermeer's shorthanded goal in the final minute of the second period put the ‘Gades ahead to stay. Dan Lombard, making his first start since October 27 made 24 saves, including 10 in the third period. The ‘Gades outshot the Titans 35-26 and went eight for nine on the penalty kill. The Bullies lost to Dayton 2-1 in a shootout at Atlantic City ending a three game winning streak. J.F. Caudron scored in the first period but the Bombers tied the game with a third period goal and won in a six round shootout. The Bullies out-shot the Bombers 40-28.

‘GADES NOTES: Richmond has won six of their last eight games after a 1-5 start. The 15 shots allowed by the ‘Gades Monday vs. Atlantic City is the lowest surrendered by Richmond since November 28, 1998 when the ‘Gades held the Johnstown Chiefs to 14 shots and lost 3-2. David Brosseau has points in five straight games. Nick Lent has points in four straight. Marc Magliarditi now has 116 career wins and is sixth in ECHL history. The ‘Gades are 4-0 in overtime this season. Richmond wrapped up a six game road trip Friday with a 4-2 record. Richmond played 10 of their first 13 on the road. The ‘Gades are playing the second of four straight, seven of their next eight, and 10 of their next 12 games at home. Seven players on the 'Gades roster were not in the opening night lineup. The ‘Gades have nine former NHL draft picks on the club. Richmond has eight rookies on the club. The ‘Gades seven game winning goals have been scored by six different players. The ‘Gades are in a stretch of five straight games against Northeast Division opponents. Richmond is sixth in the ECHL in fewest shots on goal against (28.8). The ‘Gades were 28-31 (90.3%) on the penalty kill during the road trip.

BULLIES NOTES: Atlantic City is unbeaten in their last four games (3-0-1). The Bullies played 10 of their first 13 games at home. Starting tonight the Bullies play six of their next nine on the road. Atlantic City leads the ECHL in goals against (2.23) and is second in fewest shots on goal against (26.9). The Bullies Kevin Colley is tied for third in the league in goals with 10. Scott Stirling, just back from an AHL call-up, is second in the league in goals against average (1.44).
