Israel Sesay of the Ontario Fury Scores the Winning Goal

Israel Sesay scored 5:01 into sudden death overtime to lift the Ontario Fury to an 8-7 victory over the Las Vegas Legends Friday night as the Fury paid tribute to the victims and first responders of Wednesday's tragic attack in San Bernardino, Calif.
Both teams gathered at the center of the field as the names of the 14 victims were read and the first responders honored as the Fury's Hero of the Game. It was followed by a moment of silence, and the teams gathering to unveil a SB Strong logo that will remain on the field the remainder of the Fury season.
Las Vegas was leading 4-3 going into the fourth quarter, but Luan Sales Oliveira quickly equalized it 29 seconds into the period with a rocket. The Legends answered back 1:13 later, but Ontario took the lead on back-to-back goals from Juan Topete and Mauricio Salles just 35 seconds apart.
But the Legends took the lead back with 1:49 left as Felipe Gonzalez scored on a power play. Ontario knotted it back up with 38 seconds left with the extra attacker, as Salles hit a bullet from outside that beat Las Vegas goalie Hector Casillas, setting up the overtime.
Salles and Oliveira lead the Fury attack with two goals and one assist each. Eric Guzman had a goal and two assists for the Legends, who also got two goals from Nestor Hernandez Ontario will be off for the next two weeks, returning to action at 7 p.m. Dec. 18 against the Tacoma Stars at Citizens Business Bank Arena. Before the game, there will be a "CHiPs for Kids" toy drive outside of the arena, as well as the opportunity to buy toys from the Mattel Toy Store. Anyone donating a toy or sporting item valued at $10 or more will receive a ticket voucher for a future Fury game.
Tickets for the game, which will also feature the Mascot Game at halftime, are on sale now at the Citizens Business Bank Arena box office or online at AXS.com. Group tickets are also available by calling the Fury offices at (909) 457-0252.
