Harrisburg, PA - Kraig Chiles used a hat-trick to match Juli Veee's mark of 254 goals in a Sockers' jersey and propel San Diego to a 7-5 come from behind win over the Harrisburg Heat.

The Sockers went into the second half trailing 3-1 but Chiles scored off a restart and then played the ball off the boards for Anthony Medina to tie the match at three. Jeff Hughes gave the Sockers the lead at 4-3 at the 11:09 mark of the third quarter and 20 seconds later the Sockers took a two-goal lead as Medina returned the favor for Chiles.

Matt clare made it a three goal lead for the Sockers to start the fourth quarter when his cross hit off the feet of Heat keeper Scott Krotee and trickled into the net. It would turn out to be the game winner as Lucio Gonzaga scored two goals in the space of 1:14 to bring the Heat to within one.

San Diego's captain and three-time MVP would catch Juli Veee on a shootout goa with just over five minutes left in the game.

Chad Hagerty took off on a break-away, but was dragged down by Georges NouBossie forcing the referee to pull out a blue card and point to the spot.

Up stepped Chiles and he calmly slotted the ball under the onrushing Krotee to tie the record and seal all three points for the visitors.

"It's an honor to tie such a huge record," Chiles said in the locker room after the game. "Now I get to go home and have the opportunity to break it in front of the home fans."

"It's much more satisfying being in front of your family and friends," Chiles explained about the possibility of breaking the record in front of the home crowd when San Diego hosts Atletico Baja on Thursday. "I was born and raised playing here. I grew up watching the Sockers and it couldn't of worked out any better."

You can get your tickets to a possibly historic night at the Valley View Casino Center when San Diego takes on Atletico Baja Thursday at 7:05pm PT by calling 1-866-799-GOAL.
