
Fury defeats River Otters 5-2

Two goals from Rustyn Dolyny led the Muskegon Fury to a 5-2 victory Wednesday night against the Missouri River Otters at the Family Arena.
The River Otters took the lead ten minutes into the game when Tyler Butler smoked a power-play slap-shot behind Clayton Pool for his ninth goal of the season. The Fury tied the game at one with less than one minute remaining in the opening period when a Billy Collins pass deflected off a River Otters defenseman and into the net. The Fury took a 3-1 lead in the second period on two goals by Rustyn Dolyny. Butler scored his second goal of the game early in the third period to being the River Otters within one goal, but Muskegon goals from David Wrigley and Jeff Nelson put their squad up 5-2. Pool made 26 saves in the victory while Brenden Cuthbert made 27 saves in defeat.
The River Otters host the Quad City Mallards Friday night at the Family Arena. The puck drops at 7:00 CST, and all the action can be heard on KSLQ 104.5 & the B2 Networks, located at www.riverotters.com.
