Ft Worth Rolls Over Pensacola

Fort Worth Cats News Release
Shad Williams earned his third win of the year by going six solid innings, holding the Pelicans to only 2 runs while getting more than enough run support from his offense. Every hitter for the cats came around the bases to score tonight, with Terence Green leading all hitters with 4-5 hitting and 2 RBI. Green started the offensive deluge for Fort Worth with an RBI single in the third. Pensacola, maintaining a precarious lead over Shreveport in the division, failed to muster any offense until it was too late. Alvarez hit a two-run shot in the sixth, followed by a solo HR by Mendoza in the seventh, however that wasn't enough to ignite the stagnant Pelicans' offense.
