Adirondack Frostbite News Release
GLENS FALLS, NY -- The Danbury Trashers scored four unanswered goals over the final two periods to come back and defeat the Adirondack Frostbite 4-2 on Saturday night at the Glens Falls Civic Center. The loss is the Frostbite's first on home ice this season, and ends the team's winning streak at three games.
Adirondack had a 2-0 lead after one period. Scott Drevitch scored his first goal of the season at 11:37, blasting a slapshot past Danbury goaltender Sylvain Daigle.
Lyon Porter doubled the Frostbite lead at 16:55. Sylvain Cloutier centered a pass in front to Porter, and he roofed a shot over Daigle's left shoulder for his fourth goal of the season.
Danbury got on the scoreboard at 15:16 of the second. Sean Collymore gathered in a loose puck in the left-wing circle and beat Kris Tebbs to the near post for a power-play goal, his third tally of the season.
The Trashers tied the game at 18:32 as Alex Goupil's shot from the right side slid through Tebb's five hole.
Mario Larocque gave Danbury the lead at 3:41 of the third, just two seconds after a Trashers power play expired. Larocque took a slap shot from the left point that eluded Tebbs to the glove side.
Brad Wingfield gave the Trashers some insurance, scoring his first goal of the season at 15:56, beating Tebbs with a slap shot from the high slot.
In the loss, both Hugo Belanger and Kevin Watters extended their point streaks to seven games.
