Adirondack Frostbite News Release

GLENS FALLS, NY -- The Adirondack Frostbite defeated the Richmond RiverDogs 7-2 on Tuesday night at the Glens Falls Civic Center. The win was the Frostbite's fourth consecutive game, and Adirondack is tied with Rockford for the most wins (10) and points (20) in the UHL.

The Frostbite spotted the RiverDogs a 2-0 lead in the first 7:16 of the game as David Brosseau scored 35 seconds in and Kris Waltze added another score at 7:16 to make it 2-0.

It was all Frostbite after that, as Adirondack scored seven unanswered goals the rest of the way. Lyon Porter got the Frostbite on the scoreboard at 10:52 of the first, scoring on a goal-mouth scramble. Kevin Watters tied the game just under two minutes later, as he took a long pass from Scott Drevitch behind the Richmond defense, and beat Mike D'Alessandro for his team-leading 10th goal of the season.

The Frostbite went ahead for good 8:01 into the second period as Sylvain Cloutier beat D'Alessandro to the top shelf off a great feed from Hugo Belanger. Blue Bennefield scored his first of two goals on the night at 9:59 to make it 4-2 after two periods.

Adirondack scored three more times in the final period, as Bennefield and Porter both added their second of the night, and David Ambler scored his fourth of the season.

Derek Gustafson made 24 saves to record his third straight win. He also picked up two assists.

The Frostbite and RiverDogs meet again on Friday at 7:35 p.m. at the Glens Falls Civic Center. The first 2,500 fans in attendance receive a Frostbite magnetic schedule from Key Bank.
