DANBURY, CT-The Danbury Trashers, proud members of the United Hockey League (UHL) are taking part in Mayor Mark Boughton's "Adopt A Street" this Thursday afternoon from 2-3pm with a group of students from Broadview Middle School.

The entire Trashers squad will be assisting Broadview Middle School students in cleaning up a one-block stretch of Hospital Avenue between 3rd Avenue and Forest Avenue in Danbury. The Broadview Middle School students are part of K.I.D.S., which stands for Kids Involved in Doing Service.

Fans and media are invited to meet the Trashers and the students that are involved in this worthwhile activity.

Meanwhile, all fans attending games this Friday and Saturday night are invited to donate their used cell phones and empty inkjet printer cartridges to the K.I.D.S. program. The money raised through the Ecophone program allows them to finance their service projects throughout the school year.

The Trashers will host the Elmira Jackals on Friday and the Adirondack Frostbite on Saturday night. Face-off times are scheduled for 7:30pm for both games. Tickets are available in person at the Danbury Ice Arena starting at 10am every morning, via phone at 866-565-PUCK or on the Internet at DanburyTrashers.com.
