Mallards Add Jaworski in Swap with Jackals

Moline, IL-Quad City Mallards Head Coach and General Manager Brian Curran announced today that the team has added defenseman Jason Jaworski from Elmira in exchange for defenseman Flo Iberer and future considerations. Jaworski has three points (two goals and an assist) in 10 games with the Jackals this year. Iberer played 10 games as a Mallard recording three points (all assists).

Jaworski is playing his third full season in the United Hockey League. Last year, the Buffalo, New York native split the season between Adirondack and Elmira. He recorded nine goals and 25 assists for 34 points in 75 games. He tied for 13th in scoring amongst UHL blueliners.

As a rookie in 2003-04, Jaworski began the season in Muskegon before a mid-season trade to Adirondack. In 58 totals games, he scored five goals with nine assists for 14 points.

Jaworski began his pro career with a spring stint for Muskegon in 2002-03. He played seven regular season games with the Fury after completing his college career at the University of Nebraska-Omaha. He had a goal and three assists for four points with the Fury in 2002-03. He also played nine playoff games for the Fury in 2003 recording one point (an assist).

During three years at the University of Nebraska-Omaha, Jaworski played 114 collegiate games recording 30 points on nine goals and 21 assists.

The Mallards are back on the ice Friday night at The MARK. Game time is 7:00 p.m. as the Missouri River Otters visit for the first time this year.
