Kingston Frontenacs News Release


Daryl Borden is playing for Team Ontario at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in Regina until January 4th. 14th round draft pick Wesley Annis is called up from Whitby to backup Danny Taylor in net.

Radek Smolenak and Michael Kolarz attended the Czech Republic (IIHF World Junior Championship) camp and returned to the Frontenacs prior to the start of this tournament.

Wednesday, December 28 - The Frontenacs return from the Christmas break ended sharply with a 6 to 3 67's win at the Corel Centre in Ottawa.

Friday, December 30 - The final 40-minutes of the visiting Mississauga IceDogs 3 to 2 win over the Frontenacs will not be forgetten including suspensions to Ben Shutron (1-game) and Chris Stewart (2-games).

Sunday, January 1 - The Fronts finished the weekend with a 4 to 3 loss to the visiting Ottawa 67's.

The Frontenacs three-game losing skid drops their record to 20-14-2-0 holding at 42-points; 13-points in back of East Division leading Peterborough and ahead of third place Belleville by 3-points and fourth place Ottawa.

The Frontenacs next home game is Friday, January 6th against Oshawa General at 7:30PM. Tickets for this game can be purchased by visiting the box office or by phone at (613) 542-4042. Kingston Frontenacs box office is open Monday through Thursday 10AM to 5PM, Friday home games 10AM until game time and Sunday home games 1PM until game time.
