Frisco Fighters Sign Wide Receiver Taj Williams

FRISCO, TEXAS - The Frisco Fighters head coach, Andre Coles, announced the signing of Wide Receiver Taj Williams.

Williams attended Lincoln High School in Tallahassee, Florida. In High School, Williams was rated a Four-Star recruit and ranked as the No. 37 receiver in the nation as he caught 56 passes for 786 yards and 11 touchdowns. He was also named 2012 All-Big Bend Co-Player of the Year and finished as state runner-up in his senior year.

As for college, Williams attended Iowa Western Community College and TCU. At Iowa Western Community College, he was ranked as a No. 1 junior college receiver in the nation totaling 128 receptions, 1,593 yards, and 20 touchdowns. After his first season, he had offers from Alabama, Texas, Oklahoma, Florida State, Florida, and TCU where he chose TCU. At TCU, Williams ranked second on the team in receptions having 41 receptions, 735 yards, and 6 touchdowns. He was also named 2017 Tropical Bowl (Offensive MVP).

After college, Williams took his talents as an undrafted free agent to the Seattle Seahawks and then signed with the Atlanta Falcons shortly after.
