Frisco Fighters Re-Sign Running Back Jimmy Smith

FRISCO, TEXAS - The Frisco Fighters head coach, Andre Coles, announced the re-signing of Running Back Jimmy Smith for the 2024 season.

Smith attended Madison Central High School, where he was quite the standout. He was a "three position" football player in high school, playing running back, quarterback, and wide receiver. ESPN rated Smith as one of the top players coming out of the state of Mississippi as a high school senior. In his junior season of high school, Smith rushed for 1,473 yards and 12 touchdowns, caught 39 passes for 491 yards and seven receiving touchdowns, and even threw for one touchdown.

As for college, Smith played for the University of Louisville and Wyoming University. In his collegiate career, he had a total of 228 carries, 1,217 rushing yards, and 13 Touchdowns.

After College, Smith took his talents to the NFL where he was picked up as an undrafted free agent for the Jacksonville Jaguars. He then joined the Indoor Football League Team, The Frisco Fighters in 2023 where he rushed for 275 yards with nine touchdowns.
