
Frisco Fighters Re-Sign Defensive Lineman Charles Williams

FRISCO, TEXAS - The Frisco Fighters head coach, Andre Coles, announced the re-signing of Defensive Lineman Charles Williams for the 2024 season.
Williams attended Plantation High School in Plantation, Florida. He was a two-year captain in high school, earned Second-Team All-Broward County, and was named Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
As for college, Williams went to Northwood University. In his collegiate career, he played 33 games, had 156 TOT, and recorded 17 sacks. He was also named All-GLIAC Honarable Mention.
After college, Williams signed in the USFL with the Michigan Panthers. He then took his talents to the IFL - Indoor Football League where he played for Sioux Falls Storm. In his seasons with them, he was second on the team in tackles (70), had four sacks, three fumble recoveries, and five blocked kicks, and led them to the IFL championship in 2019. He then signed with the Frisco Fighters where he has had quite an impressive career. Williams has been named First Team ALL-IFL three times in three seasons, leading the league in sacks (11) and tackles for a loss (17). "Charles has been the most dominant defensive end in the IFL" Said Coles, "for the last few seasons and we are lucky to have his leadership again in 2024"
