Frenzy announce schedule change

January 19, 2007 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Cape Cod Frenzy News Release

Orleans, Massachusetts: The Cape Cod Frenzy of the American Basketball Association (ABA) announced that they will be traveling to Montreal, Canada today to fill in for a game against the new Montreal ABA Team at 7:00 PM. The Frenzy face the Newark Express in Newark, New Jersey on Saturday night at 7:00 PM. However, the home game scheduled for Sunday at 6:05 PM against the same Newark Express, has been cancelled due to the New England Patriots appearance in the AFC Championship Game that starts at 6:30 PM.

"Massachusetts, and all of New England, will be home with their families supporting the New England Patriots this Sunday and we don't want to compete with that activity," explained Frenzy GM Ian McCarthy.

The ABA enters the All Star Break following this weekend. Frenzy forward Rob Sanders will participate in the All Star Game for the East. The next Frenzy home game will be the Vermont Frost Heaves, who come to town on February 3rd at Nauset Regional High School. Tickets are available online at www.capecodfrenzy.com via E-Ticket or at the door.

Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
