January 19, 2007 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Palm Beach Imperials News Release

Boca Raton, FL- The Palm Beach Imperials took full advantage of the American Basketball Association's unique 3-d rule which awards an extra point to a team that steals the ball in the backcourt and converts the steal to a basket. From the opening tip to the final gun The Imperials pressured the Aces.

In the first quarter led by Rolando Hall's 4 3 pointers, one of which counted for four points as a result of the 3-d rule The Imperials raced out to an early lead and at the end of 1 led 29-21. The Aces would fight back and make a run and cut into the deficit but the Imperials would be sparked by Bobby Brown with 11 points and Anthony Hatcher with 10 points as the Imperials took a 61-53 lead into the locker room at half time. The Aces would come out firing on all cylinders and it looked like they were going to show a winning hand as they cut into the Imperials lead and ended the quarter strong trailing 91-88. The Imperials then came out with a flurry causing turnovers in the back court and started to build on their lead with Bobby Brown leading the way with 5 steals The Imperials drew a royal flush as they converted turnovers into points and made their free throws down the stretch dealing The Aces a 136-120 loss.

The Imperials face The Miami Tropics on Friday Night at FAU in Boca with a 7:30 Tip off.
