The Suns are 3-11 overall and will play the second of four games against the Legends on Friday night with a 7:05 PM first pitch.
Hagerstown put up a four spot in the first inning against Legends starter Collin Snider. Cole Freeman walked, and Luis Garcia reached on an error. Lexington was quick to tie the game in the bottom of the first against Tomas Alastre for the Suns. Cal Jones and Travis Jones walked, and Nick Pratto singled to right to load the bases. A wild pitch scored Cal Jones and moved Travis Jones and Pratto up a base. With one out Dennicher Carrasco grounded a single to left to score Travis Jones and make it a 4-2 game. Vance Vizcaino doubled to center to score Pratto, and Carrasco was thrown out at home on the relay with Vizcaino going to third. He scored in the next at-bat when Marten Gasparini singled to center, tying the game at 4-4.
The Suns took the lead in the second inning against Snider. With one out, Soto singled to right and Franco doubled to center, moving Soto to third. Antuna grounded out to second, plating Soto and moving Franco to third to give the Suns a 5-4 lead.
In the bottom of the frame, Lexington tied it up again with Alastre on the hill. Ricky Aracena singled to left and stole second. Cal Jones grounded out and allowed Aracena to go to third, scoring when Travis Jones hit a sacrifice fly to right to tie the game, 5-5.
The Suns, once again, scratched across a run in the top of the third against Snider. Armond Upshaw worked a two-out walk and stole second. Freeman singled to left and drove Upshaw in to make it a 6-5 Suns lead with Freeman going to second on the throw to home. Garcia struck out swinging to end the inning and the threat.
Lexington took the lead for good in the bottom of the third in Alastre's final inning of work. MJ Melendez took the second pitch of his lead off at-bat over the right field fence to tie the game, 5-5. With one out Vizcaino walked and Marten Gasparini singled to move Vizcaino into scoring position. Jeison Guzman grounded into a fielder's choice to Antuna at shortstop, but Antuna made a throwing error to first that allowed Vizcaino to score and make it a 7-6 Lexington advantage.
Two more runs crossed for the Legends in the fourth against SAL Pitcher of the Week Ben Braymer. Ricky Aracena doubled to center and went to third when Travis Jones grounded out to third for the second out of the inning. Pratto hit his second homer of the season to right, driving in a pair of runs to extend the Lexington lead to 9-6.
