
Freedom pitching shuts down Otters

Florence, KYâ James Morrison shut the Otters down over seven innings and the Florence bats woke up in the middle innings as the Florence Freedom defeated the Evansville Otters 9-3.
Taking a scoreless game into the bottom of the fourth, the Freedom pushed a run across on a groundout with the bases loaded. Florence then exploded for three runs in each of the sixth and seventh innings to take the 7-0 lead.
Evansville came back to score two runs in the eighth inning off of Mike Marksbury, but the night belonged to Morrison as he picked up his first win of the season going seven innings, allowing four hits, no runs, striking out three.
