Freedom Host Special Military Appreciation Night on Thursday

FLORENCE, KY - On Thursday, August 9, the Florence Freedom are celebrating military appreciation night at the ballpark and thanks to 31 sponsors, 775 military members and their families will enjoy the ballgame in their honor at no cost.

Jim Beam and State Farm are the proud presenting sponsors on the Freedom's military appreciation night that includes several special moments for our brave heroes.

Events Thursday night include a flyover and showcase of a UH-60 helicopter, boat display by the US Coast guard, pre-game on-field swear in by the US Navy, a military salute call down during the 7th inning stretch and a post-game fireworks show to a Salute to America theme.

The Freedom will also be wearing specialty camouflage uniforms and following the game, the team will host a "Jersey off the Back" auction to benefit Operation Homefront.

The gates open at 6:05pm Thursday night with first pitch scheduled for 7:05pm.

A very limited number of sponsored tickets remain for military members and their families to enjoy the game at no-cost. Present your military ID at the Freedom box office to claim your sponsored tickets.
