Free Tickets Available for Alcohol-Free Day

Sussex Skyhawks News Release
The Sussex County Department of Human Services, the Division of Community and Youth Services, and the County Municipal Alliance funded through the Governor's Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse are providing an alcohol-free afternoon at Skylands Park in collaboration with the Center for Prevention and Counseling on August 15. The Skyhawks will host the Quebec Les Capitales that afternoon at 2:05 PM.
There are 1,500 free tickets available to families and community members through these departments for this drug and alcohol-free activity. To obtain the tickets, contact the Department of Human Services, Division of Community and Youth Services at www.sussex.nj.us to download instructions and a registration form. You can also receive your registration form and instructions by sending an email to municipalalliance@sussex.nj.us with the words "Alcohol Free Ballgame" in the subject line.
Rain or shine, the Sussex Skyhawks game at Century Link Field at Skylands Park will take place at 2:05 PM on Sunday, August 15, 2010. This event promotes family togetherness and provides an opportunity to talk to your kids about drugs and alcohol to combat substance abuse. Additionally, an environmental change regarding the consumption of alcoholic beverages at ballparks is hoped to be achieved and will educate residents about the messages young people receive when adults "need" beer to enjoy a ballgame.
