(York, Pa.): York Revolution Opening Day this Friday will be one for all ages...and we mean that literally.
The first baby born at York Hospital after midnight on April 23 - April 24 being the day the Revolution begin the 2015 season at Santander Stadium - will receive a season ticket for LIFE courtesy of WellSpan.
"Anyone born on opening day is destined to be a Revolution fan for life," stated Team President Eric Menzer. "It's only fair that the first baby out on April 24 also become our guest for life. The parents who began the 'family planning process' back in July leading up to this day were wise to do so," Menzer continued.
Every baby born on opening weekend, April 24-26, will receive this stylish York Revolution onesie also proclaiming baby's commitment to the Revs:
All parents of all babies born during opening weekend will also receive two complimentary tickets to the Revolution game of their choice this season. Infants are free, and wearing the onesie to the ballpark is encouraged.
"With around 3,000 births a year, WellSpan York Hospital is a great source of future York Revolution fans," said Keith Noll, president of WellSpan York Hospital and senior vice president, WellSpan. "There should be plenty of competition for the first baby born on Opening Day."
The Revolution begin their ninth season at Santander Stadium at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, when they host the Long Island Ducks in the first of a three-game weekend series.
The 2015 "War of The Roses" gets underway April 27-29, as the Revolution host cross-river rival Lancaster to wrap up the opening six-game homestand.
