Fox Returns to Gladiators

The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that they have re-signed forward Wes Fox for the 2004-2005 season.

"Foxer is a great all around guy with lots of character," said Gladiators Head Coach Jeff Pyle. "He's good in a lot of different situations including the power play and penalty kill."

Despite spending the bulk of January and February on the injured reserve due to a shoulder injury, Fox posted 14 points off of 3 goals and 11 assists in 40 games with the Gladiators last season. As a rookie last season, Fox finishing the year with +4 rating as well as a game winning goal for Gwinnett.

"I got off to a late start and then missed a bunch of games last season," said Fox. "This year, I want to step into a bigger role and put more pucks into the net but at the same time, continue to do the little things well."

The 5-foot-11, 187-pound native out of Wayzata, Minnesota, recorded 1 assist for 1 point and 4 penalty minutes in 13 playoff games while helping the Gladiators to the ECHL's Central Division Championship.

"I'm excited about returning and playing for Jeff (Pyle)," said Fox. "The Gladiators are a top notch organization and I'm looking forward to another great year."
