Four Unanswered Goals Lead Sound Tigers to Win Over Albany

BRIDGEPORT, Conn- The Bridgeport Sound Tigers (5-3-0-0), proud AHL affiliate of the New York Islanders, scored four unanswered goals on Wednesday en route to a 4-2 victory over the Albany Devils (6-3-0-0) at Webster Bank Arena.

Ross Johnston notched the game-winning goal at 4:56 of the third period, while Christopher Gibson made 24 saves and improved to 5-0-0-0 this season. Gibson has now won seven straight regular-season games dating back to March 29th.

The Devils came out firing early, scoring two goals in the first 2:51 to open the game. Blake Coleman made it 1-0 at the 1:54 mark when he received a pass from Jan Mandat in the left circle, skated to the door step and beat Gibson's glove with a second-chance backhand effort. It was Coleman's second goal of the season.

Ben Thomson doubled Albany's lead less than a minute later with an unassisted goal for his third of the season. With the Sound Tigers trying to clear their zone, Thomson knocked down the puck in the left circle and pushed a quick shot to the short side past Gibson's;
