Jets Recall Copp; Place Matthias on IR

The Winnipeg Jets Hockey Club, in conjunction with its AHL affiliate, the Manitoba Moose, announced today they have recalled forward Andrew Copp from the Moose. Shawn Matthias has been placed on injured reserve with a lower-body injury.
Copp, 22, has played eight games for the Manitoba Moose this season, recording five points (0G, 5A) and four penalty minutes. The Jets selected Copp in the fourth round, 104th overall at the 2013 NHL Draft. Last season with Winnipeg, Copp had 13 points (7G, 6A) in 77 games.
The native of Ann Arbor, Mich., joined the Winnipeg Jets at the end of the 2014-15 season following three seasons at the University of Michigan. Over his NHL career, Copp has 14 points (7G, 7A) in 78 games.
