LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas - The Frisco RoughRiders were held to just one hit in a 5-1 loss to the Arkansas Travelers on Sunday from Dickey-Stephens Park.
With the game tied at 1-1 into the eighth inning, Arkansas (32-27) exploded for four runs against Frisco (37-23) reliever Cole Uvila (2-2). Keegan McGovern gave the Travelers the lead with an RBI single before David Masters ripped a three-run home run to make it 5-1.
Steven Moyers (2-1) took the win for Arkansas, not allowing a hit over his four innings from the bullpen.
To start the scoring, Bobby Honeyman scored on a balk in the first for Arkansas to make it 1-0.
Melvin Novoa then tied the game in the third with a solo homer, his second of the season, but the Riders could not find the scoreboard again after that. Novoa's homer was the only hit on the night for the RoughRiders.
Following a day off on Monday, the RoughRiders are back home to take on the Springfield Cardinals in a six-game set, beginning on Tuesday, July 13th at 7:05 p.m. Neither team has announced their starters for the series.
