Four Houston Dash Players Called up for International Duty

HOUSTON - Four Houston Dash players will have been called up by their respective national teams for the upcoming FIFA international window, the Canadian and English federations announced.
Forward Nichelle Prince, midfielder Sophie Schmidt and defender Allysha Chapman have been called up by Canada Soccer and forward Rachel Daly will join the England Women's National Team later this month.
England and Canada will square off to open the 2022 international calendar for both teams on February 17 at Middlesbrough's Riverside Stadium as part of the Arnold Clark Cup. The Lionesses will then take on Spain for the second match of the Arnold Clark Cup on February 20 and close out the three-game tournament against Germany on February 23. Canada will face Germany on Feb. 20 and Spain on Feb. 23.
Daly joined England during the November FIFA international window for the Lionesses' two World cup qualifying matches against Austria and Latvia. Daly has 43 senior team caps and seven international goals after making her debut for England in April 2016.
Chapman has 86 career appearances and 69 starts for Canada, along with three assists and a goal. Prince has made 75 appearances, 39 starts and scored 13 goals for Canada. Schmidt has 205 career caps and 125 starts for the CanWNT. The Dash Canadian trio also won the gold medal last summer while representing Canada at the 2020 Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo.
All four players will return to Houston and participate in the remainder of the 2022 NWSL preseason before the start of the 2022 NWSL Challenge Cup. The Dash return to PNC Stadium on March 20 to open their competitive calendar against the Chicago Red Stars.
