Julia Roddar Named to Sweden National Team Roster for Algarve Cup

Washington, D.C. - Sweden National Team Head Coach Peter Gerhardsson has named Spirit midfielder Julia Roddar to the team's roster for the 2022 Algarve Cup.

Sweden will start off the preliminary round against Denmark on Friday, February 18 (12:00 p.m. ET). They will face off against Portugal on Sunday, February 20 (12:15 p.m. ET) before the final set of games on Wednesday, February 23 to determine the final standings.

Roddar has 12 caps for the senior national team. Last summer, she appeared in two matches during the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. She joined the national team at the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup in France and has been on several team sheets for recent European qualification games. She also appeared at the U-19 and U-17 levels, where she featured in 30 matches and recorded five goals.
