BROCKTON, MA - LHP Craig Anderson came one out shy of recording his second consecutive complete game as the Brockton Rox chased the American Defenders of New Hamsphire from Brockton on Saturday night with 9-1 victory.

Anderson left the game with two outs in the ninth inning and the bases loaded; gassed after a brilliant 118-pitch performance. He surrendered the only run of the game in the ninth inning, ending a personal streak of 20 consecutive innings without allowing an earned run. He gave up ten hits on the night, however New Hampshire did not have two men on base in an inning until the sixth. Anderson struck out four and walked his only batter in the ninth.

Brockton chased New Hampshire starter LHP Mark Romanczuk from the game with one out in the fourth inning. Romanczuk allowed the first six batters of the inning to reach base. The only out was recorded when 2B Melvin Falu was thrown out trying to stretch a single into a double. Falu's single drove in the first two runs of the inning. Later in the inning, 3B Phillip Cuadrado drove in his second run of the game with an RBI single. SS Dominic Ramos followed with a deep sacrifice fly to center off reliever RHP Keith Renaud. Following walks to CF Chris Valencia and 1B Clyde Williams to load the bases, DH Palmer Karr drove in the final two runs of the inning with a single.
