RF Alex Nunez and SS Ivan Naccarata had solid outings at the plate in leading the Quebec Capitales to a 7-2 win over the Sussex Skyhawks Saturday afternoon at Skylands Park. Nunez and Naccarata combined to go 6-for-10 at the plate with two runs scored and three runs batted in. Capitales 2B Josh Colafemina had a two-hit day with two runs scored. Quebec starting pitcher Dan Sausville notched his fourth win of the season going 5 2/3 innings allowing one earned run on five hits with three strikeouts. 2B Chris Brown, RF Maikel Jova and C Ray Serrano each collected two hits apiece for the Skyhawks in the losing effort.

The Brockton Rox used a six-run fourth inning and a good outing on the mound from starting pitcher Craig Anderson to beat the American Defenders of New Hampshire and snap a four game losing streak. Anderson went 8 2/3 innings giving up only one earned run on 10 hits with four strikeouts. With the victory, Anderson is 4-1 on the year. DH Palmer Karr was 3-for-5 with a run scored and two RBI while C Chris Grossman was 2-for-3 with two doubles and two runs scored.
