(Central Islip, N.Y. Oct. 3, 2005) - The Atlantic League of Professional Baseball (ALPB) today announced the 2005 Post Season All-Star Team and end of the year award winners. Long Island led all clubs in the circuit with four players selected. Outfielder Henry Rodriguez, second baseman Carlos Hernandez, lefty starter Lance Davis and closer Todd Erdos were named to the squad selected by Atlantic League general managers.

"We are very proud of these four guys," says Ducks general manager Michael Hirsch. "They put together exceptional seasons and led us to the post season for the second straight year."

Rodriguez was selected after winning the Atlantic League's batting crown with a .322 batting average in 92 games, while finishing second in the league in on-base percentage (.413) and slugging percentage (.603). In addition to league achievements, the former Expo also tied the franchise's single season home run record with 27, equaling the mark set by Kimera Bartee in 2004.

Hernandez earned honors by batting .321, one thousandth of a point shy of earning a share of the 2005 AL batting title with Rodriguez, with 38 extra base hits and a .390 on-base percentage. The former Mariner was named to the 2005 North Division All-Star team and led the club with 39 stolen bases, 78 runs and 67 RBI.

Davis was named left-handed pitcher of the year after posting an 11-8 mark in 24 starts for Long Island in 2005. The southpaw set the franchise's single season wins mark and became the Ducks' all-time wins leader with 19 in his two seasons with Long Island. The former Red finished the season ranked third in the AL with a 3.76 ERA and was named Atlantic League Pitcher of the Month in July.

Named the closer of the All-Star team, Erdos led the Atlantic League with 32 saves in 64 relief appearances. The former Yankee struck out 51 batters while walking 18 and limiting opposing batters to a .250 average in 61.1 innings of work. In Game One of the North Division Playoffs, the 2005 North Division All-Star picked up his first win as a Duck after hurling a perfect ninth inning.
