
Four Broncos Make CSS Midterm Rankings

Swift Current, SK - Swift Current Bronco defenceman Dillon Heatherington, forwards Jay Merkley and Colby Cave, along with netminder Eetu Laurikainen were listed in NHL Central Scouting's midterm rankings leading up to the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
Heatherington is currently ranked 44th amongst North American skaters (13th amongst WHL skaters). The 6'4", 196-pound product of Calgary, AB has recorded two goals and 12 assists in 45 games played with the Broncos so far this season. He was selected in the 1st round, 11th overall, by the Broncos in the 2010 WHL Bantam Draft.
Merkley is currently ranked 111th amongst North American skaters (27th Send amongst WHL skaters). The 5'11", 187-pound native of Calgary, AB has posted 25 points (16G,9A) in 47 games played between the Broncos and Lethbridge Hurricanes this season. He was selected in the 1st round, 3rd overall, by the Hurricanes in the 2010 WHL Bantam Draft.
Cave is currently ranked 140th amongst North American skaters (33rd amongst WHL skaters). The 6', 188-pound native of Battleford, SK has tallied a career-high 12 goals and 14 assists in 46 games played with the Broncos so far this season. Cave was selected in the 1st round, 13th overall, by the Kootenay Ice in the 2009 WHL Bantam Draft.
Laurikainen is currently ranked 20th amongst North American goalies (8th amongst WHL goaltenders). The 6', 179-pound product of Jyvaskyla, Finland was selected 20th overall by the Broncos in the 2012 CHL Import Draft. In 35 games played with the Broncos this season he has posted a 2.54 GAA, 0.918 save percentage and 15-15-2-2 record.
